Travelling from Bali to Lombok Island can be reached via boat services ie ferries and fast boat / speedboat. Ferries run from Padang Bai Bali to Lembar Lombok took about 4 – 5 hours trip while fast boat run from Benoa to Gili Islands take time usually 1 – 1,5 hours depending on weather conditions.

In the east coast, the Ferries also run as main transportation. From Labuhan Lombok to Poto Tano Sumbawa Island take trip about 30 minutes.

Motorbike Rental

Renting a motorbike is one viable choice to get around. There are many motorbike rental places you can choose from such as in Mataram, Ampenan, Senggigi and Cakranegara. The price may vary from one place to another. For one day renting could cost you about 50 dollars. You need to have an International driver licence however in order to be able to drive one.
